Where do numbers live?

That’s basically the question being answered when you ask for the “place value” of a number.

We have been working on this for some days now.  Tonight’s homework give the students my practice with identifying the place value of numbers, and in ordering number by size.

Do you know the symbols for “greater than” and “less than”? Which side of the symbol points to the smaller number? Your child should be able to answer these questions, as we covered them in class today…
