Yes, the weekend homework really is to play online games.

In preparation for learning about long form multiplication and division, the class has been practicing basic multiplication facts at school for the last two weeks.  They’ve also had homework to practice them every night, using their school-made flash cards (made from their personal lists of facts they need to learn) .

In the front of the student agenda books parents should find a times facts review quiz (not done for grades).  The scores in red are the scores they earned a week ago.  The other score is for Thursday’s quiz.  Parents should note a reasonable positive change in the scores and, in most cases, there has been!

OK – so playing online games for homework?  Well, on the right sidebar is a section  called “Practice Math Facts”.  These are online games that help kids to learn their math facts!
