The homework 2night is to watch… commercials!?!?!?

Well, the main homework, as it has for many weeks now, is to complete work on student research websites , which are due tomorrow.

However, as part of a mini-lesson on media and movie making, students were also asked to watch one short TV commercial on YouTube or television (or other appropriate media).

They have three things to do:
1.) Identify what is being sold
2.) Notice the length of the commercial, and, most importantly,
3.) Count how many “cuts” or edits there are in the commercial.

Tomorrow we will analyze the data the class is collecting.

Which commercials do you think would have the most edits in it – one for cars, for shampoo or for a restaurant?  Why do you think that?
